Meet our family

Our kiddos are more than the heart of our breeding program—they are beloved members of our family. Each one is cherished for their unique personality, wonderful temperament and the special qualities they bring to Saginaw Dachshunds. Get to know the dogs behind the puppies we love and raise.

Marsh 1.jpg
Marshall Mellow

Marshall is our handsome AKC-registered, Embark and AKC DNA tested extreme piebald cream with hidden dapple. Affectionately known as “Marsh,” he is full of personality, energy and always ready to play. He also has the sweetest nurturing side and absolutely adores his babies. Watching him interact with them is one of our favorite things about him—he is a wonderfully attentive dad and a very special part of our family.

Bella Rose

Bella Rose is our beautiful AKC-registered, Embark-tested red-based ee cream with no piebald or dapple. Also known as “Baby Bell,” she is our little “stranger danger” girl and takes her time deciding who has earned her trust. Once you’re in, though, she’s a total love bug! Above all, Bella is a devoted momma’s girl—even when Dad gives her instructions, she still checks with Mom first for approval. 😂

Madi.jpg
Madi Lyn

Madi Lyn is our beautiful AKC-registered, Embark-tested chocolate and tan girl, affectionately known as “Moopers”—or “Mooper Dooper Pooper Scooper.” 😂 Sweet, gentle and friendly, Madi loves just about everyone. She is also our beloved “Peggy Bundy mom.” After the first few days with her babies, she happily reports for feeding duty and then clocks back out, usually stretching out on the couch as if to say, “You’ve got this from here, right?”

Luci.jpg
Luci Lou

Luci Lou is our beautiful AKC-registered, Embark-tested ee cream piebald with no dapple, affectionately known as “Bug Bug.” She is our silly girl who loves chasing her tail and tumbling around on the floor. When it comes to her babies, though, Bug Bug is an incredibly devoted and nurturing momma. She would happily keep every one of them forever if we let her—Luci simply isn't convinced her babies ever need to grow up and leave Mom. ❤️

Jazi.jpg
Jazmine Raine

Jazmine Raine is our beautiful AKC-registered, Embark-tested black and cream piebald dapple and one of our future mommas. Affectionately known as our little “home terrorist,” Jazi keeps everyone on their toes and especially enjoys terrorizing her brothers whenever the opportunity presents itself. 😂 She lives right next door with wonderful guardian parents who absolutely adore her. She may not live under our roof, but she is very much part of the Saginaw Dachshunds family.

Cindy 1.jpg
Cindy Lou Who

Cindy Lou Who is our beautiful AKC-registered, Embark-tested ee cream piebald who carries hidden brindle and has no dapple. Just like her namesake, Cindy is sweet, kind, gentle and full of love. She is also a devoted momma’s girl—which Bella Rose isn't entirely sure she approves of! 😂 Thankfully, Bella has learned to share her very exclusive “Mama’s World.” Cindy is one of our soon-to-be mommas, and we can't wait to watch this sweet girl begin her next chapter. ❤️

Health, Genetics & Responsible Breeding

The health and well-being of our dachshunds and their puppies is at the heart of every breeding decision we make. We believe responsible breeding begins with knowing our dogs, understanding their genetics and making thoughtful pairings with the future of each puppy in mind.

Genetic Testing

Our breeding dogs undergo DNA and genetic testing to help us better understand their genetic health, traits and coat-color genetics. We use those results as one of the tools that helps guide our breeding decisions.

Thoughtful Pairings

Every pairing is carefully considered with health, temperament, genetics and the individual qualities of each parent in mind. Our goal is never simply to produce beautiful puppies, but to make responsible decisions for each generation.

Veterinary Care

Our dogs receive regular veterinary care and are closely monitored throughout their lives. The health and well-being of our moms, dads and puppies always comes first.

A Lifetime Commitment

Our responsibility doesn't end when one of our puppies leaves our home. We want our puppy families to know they can always come to us with questions, updates and plenty of pictures. Once you become part of the Saginaw Dachshunds family, we hope you'll stay part of it for years to come. ❤️
